Our  Mission

Patients with developmental conditions that affect social interaction can face remarkable challenges in every aspect and stage of life. The mission of the DNP is to help these patients and their families thrive.

The DNP believes strongly that this mission is best accomplished by providing care to patients and their families that is:

  • Accessible. The DNP makes every effort to provide patients with access to the services needed to reach his or her full potential, regardless of economic, social, or ethnic background.
  • Customized. The DNP believes that every patient deserves a careful evaluation that will reveal his her unique profile of abilities and challenges and that recommendations for treatment must be individualized as well as monitored for effectiveness.
  • Comprehensive.  In addition to providing state-of the art diagnostic evaluations, we are committed to identifying any medical or neurological problems or environmental factors that may be causing or contributing to these problems.
  • Collaborative.  We are committed to working collaboratively with the families of our patients, whose experience and concerns are the inspiration for so much of our work. The DNP is also committed to working collaboratively with other care providers, both at our medical center and in the community where a patient resides.
  • Continuous. The DNP is committed to working with patients and their families over the life span.
